FAQ

How much do you charge?

Our accounting and tax services are based on the complexity of the work being performed and the experience level of the staff performing the work. We are happy to provide a quote prior to performing all work.

 

Is there accounting work that you don’t do?

Yes. We do not provide:

  • Audit services.

  • Compiled or reviewed financial statement services. 

  • Payroll services. 

  • Non-profit tax or accounting services.

We are happy to recommend service providers who can assist you with these services.

 

Do you require a retainer?

Yes. Your retainer payment is like a deposit or prepayment that we apply against your invoice; it's not an extra charge of any kind. It is our policy that before we begin with any work, we receive a retainer and have an engagement letter on file.  Our engagement letter spells out the scope of our engagement, the exact work to be done, our retainer and our responsibilities. If our invoice is less than your retainer, the unused portion is refundable.

 

Where is the work performed?

Everywhere! In our office, in your office, or virtually. We are flexible and able to meet your needs.

 

Do you accept credit and debit cards?

Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

 

Do you offer a free initial consultations?

How can I reduce my bill for tax preparation?

There are measures you can take to help us increase efficiency when preparing your tax return. If you are a returning client, please take advantage of the tax organizer we send out. Use it to see which documents we used to prepare your tax return last year and to double-check that you have all of the documents you need this year. If you own a business, please provide accurate financial statements. If you need help producing financial statements please provide your invoices, receipts and bank statements. Ensuring that your records are organized and complete can reduce both the time it takes to prepare your tax return and our fees for services.

 

How do I obtain copies of documents from your files?

If you need an additional paper or electronic copy of a tax return, tax organizer, or any other document we may have on file, you may request copies by contacting any of our staff. 

Can you e-file my tax return?

Yes! We are an authorized e-file provider and strive to e-file as many returns as we possibly and reasonably can. We do this as we feel it provides a safe and secure method of ensuring that our client's returns are filed.

 

Will I be charged extra to e-file my return?

Absolutely not. There are no hidden fees to our clients related to e-filing a tax return.
